Physical Change

Definition

A physical change is any change not involving a change in the substance's chemical identity. Here changes occur in physical properties such as shape, size, state or phase.

Analogy

Imagine physical change like folding an origami bird out of paper. The paper might be folded into various shapes but it's still paper at its core - its basic identity hasn't changed.
