What is Fiveable?

Fiveable is a content library and study platform for AP students and teachers. We were founded by a former AP teacher and launched in 2018. Since then, we've helped millions of AP students keep up with their classes and have maintained a 90%+ pass rate every single year.

What content is available?

LOTS! We have detailed study guides for every topic and unit in every AP subject, plus SAT, ACT, and Honors courses. Huge banks of practice questions, tagged by topic and unit, and in some classes we have stimulus-based questions (mostly the AP histories). There are also Cheatsheets which are 1-page quick reviews to skim over the entire subject. And we have score calculators to help you guesstimate your results.

How is the content organized?

Content is organized by subject, unit, and topic. Every AP subject has a dedicated page with all of the content for that subject. Every unit has a dedicated page with all of the content for that unit. And every topic has a dedicated page with all of the content for that topic.

How was the content created?

The content library has been supported by hundreds of creators over the years. Study guides were originally written by a team of students and teachers, and then edited each year to ensure we match the current CED.

Do you use AI to create the content?

All of our study guides started with human creators and now we're able to use the best AI models to run evaluations that ensure alignment with the CED and catch any errors. We also use AI to create and evaluate practice questions. Our team has become experts in prompt engineering and have a deep understanding of the CED, which ensures any content generated by AI is high quality.

How much is a Fiveable subscription?

What's included in the subscription?

You can choose between digital or digital+print plans. Both plans include access to ALL subjects so you can study with any resource for all of your classes. We do not sell subjects individually. The print plan also includes the ability to create and share PDFs of any resource.

How do renewals work?

All purchases are recurring subscriptions, we do not sell one-off. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. If you're on the annual plan, you'll be charged again one year from your original purchase. If you're on the monthly plan, you'll be charged on the same day of each month (i.e. if you sign up on the 1st, you'll be charged on the 1st of each month).

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time at https://fiveable.me/account?tab=billing. Just click the cancel button and follow the prompts.

How do I get a refund?

You can request a refund within 7 days of your payment date. However, all payments during AP exam periods are final. Go to https://fiveable.me/account?tab=billing, if you are eligible for a refund, there is a request refund button that will proccess it for you. See our refund policy for more information: https://fiveable.me/refund/.

I'm trying to login to the billing portal, but I'm not getting an email.

We use Stripe for all payments with the billing portal at: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/bIY8z08Jk7yfglWfYY. The email Stripe uses for your billing account may be different than your Fiveable account. Try a different email or a parent/guardian's email. If you are still stuck, email us to help you cancel at help@fiveable.me.

Why am I still seeing paywalls when I just paid?

99% of this issue is because you are logged into Fiveable with the wrong email. Log out and back in with a different email you may have used. If you're still stuck, email us to help with the subscription at help@fiveable.me.

How do I buy a subscription for my child?

We HIGHLY recommend that you have your student login with their own email to ensure the upgrade happens on their account and not yours. If you need help transferring access, email us at help@fiveable.me.

Is there financial aid available?

Is there a teacher plan?

Teachers can sign up for either plan. If you only plan to use Fiveable to improve your own understanding of the content, the digital-only plan is a great option. If you plan to use Fiveable to help your students, the printing plan is best so you can export content from Fiveable and share it with your students. We're a super small team of 3, which includes Amanda (product/content/marketing), Nathan (product/engineering), and Becky (content/support). We also have part-time and contracted folx for content production, marketing, and finances.
