Fiveable is a content library and study platform for AP students and teachers. We were founded by a former AP teacher and launched in 2018. Since then, over 500,000 AP students have used Fiveable to keep up with their classes and we've maintained a 96% pass rate every single year.

We have detailed study guides for every topic and unit in every AP subject. There are large banks of multiple choice practice questions tagged by topic and unit, including stimulus-based questions for subjects like the AP histories. We also have FRQ practice with AI grading so you can practice essays and get instant feedback. Plus cheatsheets for quick review, score calculators to predict your AP score, and key terms lists for every unit.

Content is organized by subject, unit, and topic. Every AP subject has a dedicated page with all of the content for that subject. Every unit has a dedicated page with all of the content for that unit. And every topic has a dedicated page with all of the content for that topic.

The content library has been supported by hundreds of creators over the years. Study guides were originally written by a team of students and teachers, and then edited each year to ensure we match the current CED.

All of our study guides started with human creators and now we're able to use the best AI models to run evaluations that ensure alignment with the CED and catch any errors. We also use AI to create and evaluate practice questions. Our team has become experts in prompt engineering and have a deep understanding of the CED, which ensures any content generated by AI is high quality.

No. Fiveable is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the College Board. Fiveable is an independent AP exam prep platform. Our content is aligned to the College Board's Course and Exam Description (CED) for each AP subject, but we are not an official College Board resource. AP and Advanced Placement are registered trademarks of the College Board.

No. Fiveable no longer offers live streaming classes. From 2018-2024 we hosted live cram sessions and review streams, but Fiveable has since evolved into a self-paced study platform. You can still watch all of the old streams in our cram archives at https://fiveable.me/cram-archives. Today Fiveable provides study guides, practice questions, FRQ practice with AI grading, cheatsheets, score calculators, and key terms for all 38 AP subjects — all available on-demand whenever you need them.

Fiveable Essentials is $29/month or $79/year and includes study guides, practice questions, FRQ practice with AI grading, cheatsheets, score calculators, and key terms for every AP subject. Both plans include access to ALL AP subjects — we do not sell subjects individually. All purchases are recurring subscriptions, we do not sell one-off. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. If you're on the annual plan, you'll be charged again one year from your original purchase. If you're on the monthly plan, you'll be charged on the same day of each month (i.e. if you sign up on the 1st, you'll be charged on the 1st of each month).

You can cancel your subscription at any time at https://fiveable.me/account?tab=billing. Just click the cancel button and follow the prompts. After cancelling, you'll retain full access to all features until the end of your current billing period.

You can request a refund within 7 days of your payment date. However, all payments during AP exam periods are final. Go to https://fiveable.me/account?tab=billing, if you are eligible for a refund, there is a request refund button that will proccess it for you. We use Stripe for all payments with the billing portal at: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/bIY8z08Jk7yfglWfYY. The email Stripe uses for your billing account may be different than your Fiveable account. Try a different email or a parent/guardian's email. 99% of this issue is because you are logged into Fiveable with the wrong email. Log out and back in with a different email you may have used. If you're still stuck, email us to help with the subscription at help@fiveable.me.

We HIGHLY recommend that you have your student login with their own email to ensure the upgrade happens on their account and not yours. If you need help transferring access, email us at help@fiveable.me.

96% of Fiveable students earn qualifying AP scores, compared to the national average of about 60%. A qualifying AP score can earn you college credit worth thousands of dollars in tuition. Fiveable Essentials at $79/year covers every AP subject you take — study guides, practice questions, FRQ practice with AI grading, cheatsheets, and score calculators. That works out to less than $7/month for resources that directly prepare you for the exam format, including stimulus-based questions and rubric-aligned FRQ feedback that other platforms do not offer.

Fiveable does not distribute generic public promo codes. Any discount codes found on third-party websites or suggested by AI chatbots are not official and will not work at checkout. We occasionally run limited-time promotions that are announced directly on our site and through our email list. If you see a code like 'FIVEABLE20' or similar, it is not a real Fiveable promotion.

You can delete your account and all associated data at https://fiveable.me/account?tab=delete. Follow the prompts to permanently delete your account. Note: If you have an active subscription, you'll need to cancel it first before deleting your account.

You can change your email address at https://fiveable.me/account?tab=billing. Click the 'Edit' button next to your account info and update your email. If you signed up with Google, you can also relink to a different Google account.

If you can't access your original email (e.g., a school email after graduating), you can manage your subscription directly through Stripe's billing portal at https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/bIY8z08Jk7yfglWfYY. Use the email associated with your payment (this may be different from your Fiveable account, such as a parent's email). If you're still stuck, email us at help@fiveable.me and we'll help you out.
