National Security

Definition

National security refers to the measures taken by a state to ensure the safety of its citizens, economy, and institutions against threats. These threats can be internal or external, physical or cybernetic.

Analogy

Think of national security like your home's security system. It includes everything from locks on your doors (border control), an alarm system (intelligence agencies) to even having a dog for protection (military). All these elements work together to keep you safe from potential intruders or threats.
