Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER): The ER is a network of tubules and sacs that is responsible for the synthesis, folding, and transport of proteins, as well as the synthesis of lipids. Vesicles bud off from the ER to transport these materials to other organelles.
Golgi Apparatus:The Golgi apparatus is responsible for the modification, sorting, and packaging of proteins and other molecules transported to it by vesicles from the ER. It then uses vesicles to transport these materials to their final destinations within the cell.
Exocytosis:Exocytosis is the process by which a cell transports materials, such as neurotransmitters or hormones, out of the cell by fusing a vesicle with the cell membrane and releasing its contents to the extracellular space.
