Moche
Definition
An ancient Andean society that existed in present-day Peru from about 100 to 800 AD known for its sophisticated pottery, monumental architecture, and complex social organization.

Imagine Moche society as a giant pottery workshop. Just as every piece of pottery needs careful crafting from shaping to painting to firing in a kiln, so too did every part of Moche society require careful attention—from building irrigation systems for agriculture to creating intricate artwork on ceramics.
