Definition

Adrenergic relates to the part of the autonomic nervous system that uses adrenaline (epinephrine) or noradrenaline (norepinephrine) as neurotransmitters. It primarily involves the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the body's 'fight or flight' response during stressful situations.
