Share an assignment in Canvas or another LMS

Copy a Fiveable assignment link into Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Moodle, or another LMS.

Quick answer

In Publish, choose Copy a link for another LMS, then choose the LMS when Fiveable asks. Publish and copy the link, then create the assignment or announcement in your LMS and paste the Fiveable link there.

What to do

  1. Open Publish

Finish the assignment, review Settings, and select Publish.

  2. Choose the LMS handoff

Under How will you share this with students?, select Copy a link for another LMS. Under Which LMS?, choose the closest match.

  3. Publish and copy

Use the publish action to make the assignment live and copy its student link.

  4. Create the post in your LMS

Open Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Moodle, or your other LMS. Create the assignment and paste the Fiveable link with your due date and class instructions.

What students see

The LMS post sends students to Fiveable. They sign in there and complete the assignment; the Fiveable result does not automatically become an LMS gradebook entry.

If something is not working

My LMS is not listed.

Choose the general link option. The student link works in any LMS or class site that accepts a web link.

The LMS says the link is not embedded content.

Add it as a normal external link instead of an embedded frame. Students should open Fiveable in its own tab.
