For New York school districts
AP® resources for New York schools
Gather your AP department’s account plan and the vendor documents your New York district needs for student privacy review.Give your AP teachers a shared place to assign practice, review student work, and plan follow-up lessons. Start with the teachers who need accounts, then bring a quote and the requested documents to your school or district’s review process.
Plan accounts for your AP department
Fund teacher-led practice
Teacher accounts support assignments and classroom results. Students complete their teacher’s assignments with free accounts. List the courses and teachers you want to include, then choose quantities for one teacher, an AP department, or several departments together.
Choose independent study separately
Sponsored student accounts are optional for independent study beyond teacher-led assignments. Include them when your school wants to fund students’ use of the study library on their own. Teacher and student volume discounts are calculated separately in checkout.
Plan your department rollout
Identify who will receive the setup link and assign purchased accounts. Choose the teachers, courses, and start date for your first assignments. Teachers review scores and feedback, then use classroom results to plan follow-up practice.
Annual teacher pricing
- 1–4 teacher accounts
- $129 each / year
- 5–24 teacher accounts
- $99 each / year
- 25+ teacher accounts
- $69 each / year
For example, five teacher accounts cost $495 per year. Students complete those teachers’ assignments with free accounts. Optional sponsored student accounts add a separate cost.
Prepare your New York student privacy packet
New York Education Law §2-d addresses student data privacy and the Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security. Before your department begins classroom use, ask your district’s privacy team to identify the agreement and supplemental information it needs for the proposed Fiveable workflow.
Name the intended use: teacher-led AP assignments, reviewed feedback, and any separately funded independent study.
Ask your district’s privacy team for its vendor packet and Parents’ Bill of Rights requirements.
Request information about data use, security, access, retention, and deletion for the district’s review.
Send your district’s agreement, required supplemental information, and vendor forms with your document request.
Route the completed packet through your district’s privacy review before the business office completes the purchase. Your district’s privacy team decides which documents and contract provisions apply.
From department plan to purchase
Prepare an instructional plan and quote
Choose teacher quantities and any optional sponsored student accounts. Checkout calculates the annual price and lets you download a quote for your business office. Include the courses, quantities, and planned start date. Quotes are valid for 30 days, so check the date before your office issues a purchase order.
Gather your district’s review packet
Ask your office which documents it needs, such as a signed W-9, privacy agreement, accessibility information, or security documentation. Include your district name and its required forms. The document request form opens an editable email draft; send that draft to submit your request.
Complete the purchase and assign accounts
Your office can pay by card or arrange a purchase order using the quote ID. After Fiveable receives and reviews your PO, we send a setup link while your business office arranges payment. If you pay by card or bank transfer, we send the link after payment is confirmed. Use it to assign purchased accounts when teachers are ready.
