For New Mexico school districts

AP® resources for New Mexico schools

Connect New Mexico’s responsible-use expectations with the AP assignments, student explanations, and family communications your department plans.

Give your AP teachers a shared place to assign practice, review student work, and plan follow-up lessons. Start with the teachers who need accounts, then bring a quote and the requested documents to your school or district’s review process.

Plan accounts for your AP department

Fund teacher-led practice

Teacher accounts support assignments and classroom results. Students complete their teacher’s assignments with free accounts. List the courses and teachers you want to include, then choose quantities for one teacher, an AP department, or several departments together.

Choose independent study separately

Sponsored student accounts are optional for independent study beyond teacher-led assignments. Include them when your school wants to fund students’ use of the study library on their own. Teacher and student volume discounts are calculated separately in checkout.

Plan your department rollout

Identify who will receive the setup link and assign purchased accounts. Choose the teachers, courses, and start date for your first assignments. Teachers review scores and feedback, then use classroom results to plan follow-up practice.

Annual teacher pricing

1–4 teacher accounts
$129 each / year
5–24 teacher accounts
$99 each / year
25+ teacher accounts
$69 each / year

For example, five teacher accounts cost $495 per year. Students complete those teachers’ assignments with free accounts. Optional sponsored student accounts add a separate cost.

Connect New Mexico AI practice to your responsible-use policy

New Mexico’s AI guidance discusses using existing Responsible Use Policies or Acceptable Use Policies to define classroom expectations. It recommends involving educators, students, and families, making expectations age-appropriate, and revisiting them during the school year. Begin with the policy students already encounter.

  • How does our existing responsible-use or acceptable-use policy describe AI assistance, and what classroom explanation should accompany teacher-led AP assignments?

  • Which examples will show students the difference between using feedback to revise their own response and submitting work they did not develop?

  • How will students and families ask questions about the new practice routine, and when will staff revisit expectations after seeing it in use?

Attach local expectations to the teaching plan. Ask technology and privacy reviewers which vendor documents they need before introducing student accounts.

From department plan to purchase

  1. Prepare an instructional plan and quote

Choose teacher quantities and any optional sponsored student accounts. Checkout calculates the annual price and lets you download a quote for your business office. Include the courses, quantities, and planned start date. Quotes are valid for 30 days, so check the date before your office issues a purchase order.

  2. Gather your district’s review packet

Ask your office which documents it needs, such as a signed W-9, privacy agreement, accessibility information, or security documentation. Include your district name and its required forms. The document request form opens an editable email draft; send that draft to submit your request.

  3. Complete the purchase and assign accounts

Your office can pay by card or arrange a purchase order using the quote ID. After Fiveable receives and reviews your PO, we send a setup link while your business office arranges payment. If you pay by card or bank transfer, we send the link after payment is confirmed. Use it to assign purchased accounts when teachers are ready.

Begin with your district’s responsible-use or acceptable-use expectations. New Mexico’s guidance encourages local policies that students and families can understand and revisit. Explain the proposed assignments, the teacher’s review role, and what students should produce independently before the department starts.
