A wet scrubber is an air pollution control device that uses water or other liquid to remove pollutants from industrial exhaust streams.
Imagine using a sponge to clean up spilled juice on your kitchen counter. In the same way, a wet scrubber uses water to "soak up" and remove pollutants from industrial emissions before they are released into the atmosphere.
Particulate Matter (PM): Tiny solid or liquid particles suspended in the air, often emitted by industrial processes.
Absorption: The process of one substance being taken in or soaked up by another substance.
Industrial Emissions: Pollutants released into the air as a result of industrial activities.
