Rhinella marina

Definition

Rhinella marina, also known as the cane toad or marine toad, is a large amphibian native to Central and South America. It has been introduced to various countries around the world as a biological control method for pests but has become an invasive species itself.

Analogy

Imagine if you brought in a superhero frog to fight off pesky insects in your garden, but instead of just eating bugs, it starts eating everything else too - plants, animals, even other frogs! That's what happens when cane toads become invasive.
