AP Exam Dates 2024
The 2024 AP Exams are taking place May 6-10 and May 13-17. It’s a little later than usual this year because they begin on the first Monday in May.
All exam start times listed below are local time. Exams can begin within 1 hour after the official start time.
🔥 Hot tip! You should plan to arrive at least 45-60 minutes early so you have time to get settled in. Testing often happens in a different room than where your class meets and your teacher can’t be the one proctoring.
You’ll need to make sure you know exactly where to go! Better to be early than late 😃
*Note: Alaska start times are actually 1 hour before the official times listed below.

Late Testing
You may qualify for late testing if you have a conflicting exam schedule, a school event, a serious medical issue, family emergency, or environmental conditions out of your control such as weather, power, etc.
The AP Coordinator at your school will need to approve you and get you scheduled for late testing. Make sure you communicate your issue to them as soon as possible so you have the best chance of approval.
Note: You can’t take the late test option just because you aren’t ready for the exam. It’s only for emergencies.
All late tests are alternate versions of the exams — they’re completely different, never before seen question sets. This helps College Board preserve the security of the test.
