AP Credit and Placement Policies for Colleges and Universities

Students who take AP exams could potentially earn college credit or get a higher placement into college courses. These credit and placement policies vary from college to college, so it’s important that you do your research for schools you’re interested in.

AP Policies at Top 10 Ranked Colleges

We summarized the AP credit and placement policies for the top 10 ranked US colleges and top 5 ranked public US colleges in the tables below. If you want more detailed information on the policies, you can click on the links to navigate to the college website.
