Lateral compartment of the leg

Definition

The lateral compartment of the leg is one of the anatomical sections in the lower limb, housing muscles primarily responsible for eversion and plantarflexion of the foot. It includes muscles such as the fibularis longus and fibularis brevis, which are innervated by the superficial fibular nerve.
