Internuclear ophthalmoplegia is a neurological condition characterized by the impairment of eye movement on one side, where the affected eye shows limited movement towards the nose due to a lesion in the brainstem that affects the medial longitudinal fasciculus (MLF). This condition often indicates multiple sclerosis or stroke in adults and can manifest as double vision when trying to look sideways.
