Definition

The gluteus minimus is one of the three gluteal muscles, located beneath the gluteus medius, and is responsible for stabilizing the hip and assisting in its lateral movement. It plays a crucial role in abduction (moving the leg away from the body's midline) and medial rotation of the thigh.
