Definition

The femoral triangle is an anatomical region located in the anterior aspect of the upper thigh, just below the inguinal ligament. It is bordered by the sartorius muscle laterally, adductor longus medially, and the inguinal ligament superiorly, and contains important structures such as the femoral nerve, artery, vein, and lymph nodes.
