Duodenal glands, also known as Brunner's glands, are specialized exocrine glands located in the initial part of the small intestine, the duodenum. These glands secrete an alkaline mucus that helps neutralize the acidic content received from the stomach, protecting the intestinal lining and aiding in digestion.
