Refugees

Definition

Refugees are individuals who flee their country due to fear of persecution, war, or violence, seeking protection elsewhere. They have a well-founded fear of being harmed because of their race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs): Individuals who are forced to flee their homes for similar reasons as refugees but remain within their own country's borders.

Stateless persons: People who do not have the nationality of any state either because they have been denied it or because of gaps in nationality laws, leaving them without the rights and protections that come with statehood
