War and Conflict

Definition

War and conflict refer to a state of organized, armed, and often prolonged hostility carried on between states, nations, or other parties typified by extreme aggression, social disruption, and usually high mortality.

Analogy

Think of war and conflict like a heated game of chess. Each side is trying to outmaneuver the other with strategic moves. The stakes are high because losing can mean significant losses not just in terms of pieces (or soldiers) but also in terms of overall control (territory or influence).
