Definition

This method involves observing and describing behavior without manipulating variables. It often involves naturalistic observations, surveys, and case studies.

Analogy

Think of descriptive research like being a wildlife photographer. You're capturing animals (or behaviors) in their natural habitat without interfering or changing anything about their environment.
