As economies develop from agrarian to industrial and then to service-based, the roles of women in society often shift from domestic work to more formal employment opportunities.
Think of this like a character in a video game leveling up. As the game progresses (economic development), the character's abilities and roles change and expand (roles of women).
Economic Development: The process by which a nation improves the economic, political, and social well-being of its people.
Industrialization: The process by which an economy is transformed from primarily agricultural to one based on manufacturing goods. This transition can significantly alter women’s roles.
Service Economy: An economy or sector that relies mostly on providing services rather than producing physical goods. In such economies, women often have increased participation in workforce.
