Definition
The workforce refers to the total number of people who are employed or available for employment in a particular country, industry, or organization. It includes both paid and unpaid workers.
Analogy
Imagine a big sports team preparing for a game. The workforce is like the roster of players that the coach can choose from. Some players are already on the field (employed), while others are waiting on the bench (available for employment).
