Definition

Waterborne diseases are illnesses caused by microorganisms or chemicals that contaminate water sources, such as rivers, lakes, or drinking water. These diseases can be transmitted through ingestion of contaminated water and can lead to symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, and fever.
