Definition
Water flow refers to the movement of water through various parts of the hydrological cycle including precipitation, evaporation, condensation, runoff, infiltration into soil or groundwater systems.
Analogy
Picture water flow as a giant conveyor belt that transports water from one place to another. Just like how a conveyor belt moves items along, water flows through different stages of the hydrological cycle, ensuring that it is distributed and available for various organisms and processes.
