Vapor Recovery Nozzle

Definition

A vapor recovery nozzle is a device used at gasoline stations to capture harmful gasoline vapors that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere during refueling. It helps reduce air pollution and prevent the escape of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Analogy

Imagine a vapor recovery nozzle as a vacuum cleaner attachment specifically designed to suck up invisible gasoline fumes while you fill up your car. Just like a vacuum cleaner prevents dust from spreading, this nozzle prevents harmful vapors from escaping into the air.
