Population Size

Definition

Population size refers to the total number of individuals of a particular species in a given area at a specific time. It is an important factor in understanding the dynamics and interactions within ecosystems.

Analogy

Imagine a crowded school cafeteria during lunchtime. The population size would be the total number of students present in the cafeteria at that moment. Just like in nature, changes in population size can have significant impacts on resources and interactions among individuals.
