Definition

Physiological adaptation refers to the internal changes that organisms undergo in order to survive and thrive in their environment. These adaptations can include changes in metabolism, body temperature regulation, or organ function.

Analogy

Think of physiological adaptations as the "superpowers" of organisms. Just like superheroes have unique abilities that help them overcome challenges, organisms develop internal adaptations that give them an advantage in their specific environment.
