Noise-absorbing materials

Definition

Noise-absorbing materials are substances specifically designed to reduce the reflection and transmission of sound waves. These materials absorb a significant portion of incoming sound energy rather than reflecting it back into the environment.

Analogy

Think of noise-absorbing materials as sponges for sound. Just like how a sponge absorbs water and prevents it from splashing everywhere, noise-absorbing materials absorb sound waves and prevent them from bouncing around and causing echoes.
