Definition

To provide reasons, justifications, or causes for why something occurs or why it is important.

Analogy

Explaining why something happens is like unraveling a mystery. Just as detectives gather clues and evidence to solve a case, explaining why involves examining various factors and connections to uncover the underlying reasons behind an event or phenomenon.
