Kinetic Energy

Definition

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object due to its motion.

Analogy

Picture yourself bowling - when you roll the ball, it moves towards the pins with speed - that movement or motion gives it kinetic energy. If it didn't move, there would be no kinetic energy and the pins would remain standing.
