Organic Molecules or Monomers

Definition

These are small molecules that can join together with other similar molecules to form larger structures known as polymers. They contain carbon atoms and are often found in living organisms.

Analogy

Consider monomers as Lego blocks. On their own they're pretty simple but when you start connecting them together you can build something much bigger and complex!
