Pubofemoral ligament

Definition

The pubofemoral ligament is a band of connective tissue that extends from the pubic portion of the pelvis to the femur, reinforcing the anterior part of the hip joint capsule. It helps limit excessive extension and abduction (movement away from the midline) of the thigh, contributing to joint stability.
