Lesser pelvis

Definition

The lesser pelvis is the lower part of the pelvic cavity that lies below the pelvic brim, enclosing the pelvic organs such as the rectum, bladder, and in females, the uterus. It is bounded by the sacrum, coccyx, and ischial spines.
