Definition
The pelvic brim is an anatomical structure that separates the false pelvis (above) from the true pelvis (below), forming a boundary between the two. It is a bony edge created by parts of the hip bones and the sacrum.
The lower portion of the pelvic cavity below the pelvic brim, encompassing the pelvic inlet, cavity, and outlet which play crucial roles during childbirth.
