Coracohumeral ligament

Definition

The coracohumeral ligament is a strong band of fibrous tissue that connects the coracoid process of the scapula to the greater tubercle of the humerus. It plays a crucial role in stabilizing the shoulder joint, especially limiting external rotation and preventing downward dislocation of the humerus.
