"Competing Maritime Empires, 1450-1750 CE" introduces and explains the rise of European powers to both Atlantic Ocean Trade and Indian Ocean Trade. Mercantilism is explained. Maritime Exchange Networks from the Portuguese and the Ottomans, as well as the British, French, Dutch and Spanish are illustrated. The Columbian Exchange and the Atlantic Slave Trade are provided, including additional maps and statistics to assist learners.
