Extraocular Muscles:The group of six muscles that control the movement and positioning of the eyeball, including the superior oblique, inferior oblique, superior rectus, inferior rectus, medial rectus, and lateral rectus muscles.
Trochlea: A pulley-like structure located in the inner corner of the eye socket, through which the tendon of the superior oblique muscle passes, allowing for its unique rotational action.
Oculomotor Nerve (Cranial Nerve III): The cranial nerve responsible for innervating and controlling the majority of the extraocular muscles, including the superior oblique muscle.
