Definition

The secretory phase is a stage in the menstrual cycle following ovulation, where the endometrium (the lining of the uterus) becomes more glandular and secretes nutrients to prepare for a potential pregnancy. This phase typically lasts from day 15 to day 28 of a typical 28-day cycle.
