Definition

Raloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used primarily to treat and prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It also reduces the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis or at high risk for breast cancer.
