Semi-presidential system

Definition

A semi-presidential system is a form of government where a president exists alongside a prime minister and a cabinet, with the dual executive roles being divided between them. The president is typically directly elected by the people and shares executive powers with the prime minister who usually is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the government.
