Scientism

Definition

Scientism is the belief that the scientific method and empirical evidence are the most reliable ways to understand the world, often to the exclusion of other viewpoints or methods. In the context of International Political Economy, it suggests that economic theories and policies should be grounded in rigorous scientific analysis rather than ideology or moral arguments.
