Definition

A parliamentary sovereignty system is a principle where the legislature (Parliament) holds supreme legal authority, able to create or end any law without legal constraint from executive power or judicial review. In such a system, the judiciary cannot overrule or declare legislation made by the Parliament as unconstitutional.
