Iran Nuclear Deal

Definition

The Iran Nuclear Deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), is an agreement reached in 2015 between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany) along with the European Union. The deal aimed to ensure that Iran's nuclear program would be exclusively peaceful by imposing limitations and rigorous inspections in exchange for lifting economic sanctions on Iran.

Analogy

Imagine a high school with strict rules against bringing any form of candy. A student who loves candy agrees to only bring fruits if the school allows them extra library time. This is similar to the Iran Nuclear Deal where Iran agreed to limit its nuclear activities (not bringing candy) in exchange for lifted economic sanctions (extra library time), ensuring a peaceful academic environment.
