Definition

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) is a comprehensive body of laws governing immigration and citizenship in the United States, establishing the rules for who can enter, reside in, or become a citizen of the country. Enacted in 1952, it forms the foundation for U.S. immigration policy.
