Europeans

Definition

In the context of AP US History, Europeans refers to people from Europe who explored, colonized, and settled in the Americas from the late 15th century onwards. This includes nations such as Spain, England, France, and Portugal.

Analogy

Think of Europeans like a group of friends discovering a new hangout spot. They all come from different homes (countries), have their own reasons for coming (economic gain, religious freedom), and interact differently with the existing crowd at the spot (Native Americans).
