Definition

Travel technology refers to the application of Information Technology (IT) or computer science in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. It is used by airlines, hotels, travel agencies and others to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Think of travel technology as a smartphone for your vacation. Just like how you use your phone to manage various aspects of your life - from communication to shopping - travel technology helps manage different parts of your trip - from booking flights and hotels to finding local attractions.
