Rise of Democracy

Definition

The rise of democracy refers to the historical process through which democratic governance, characterized by the rule of law, equal rights, and citizen participation in decision-making, became prevalent.

Analogy

Think of the rise of democracy like a game update in your favorite video game. Before the update (or before democracy), you had limited control over what happens in the game. But after the update (or with democracy), you now have more power to influence outcomes and make decisions that affect your gameplay.
