Landline Phones

Rotary Dial Phone: An older type of telephone where numbers are dialed by rotating a disk with numbered holes. It's like an ancestor to modern push-button phones.

Cordless Phone: A type of telephone in which the handset is portable but buttons on the base station must be pressed to dial out; it offers more mobility than traditional landlines but still requires a base station.

Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN): This is the network of public circuit-switched telephone lines that allow any phone in the world to connect with another.
