Definition

Camels are large, desert-dwelling mammals that have been used for centuries as a mode of transportation and for carrying goods across long distances, especially in arid regions.

Analogy

Think of camels as the semi-trucks of the ancient world. Just like semi-trucks transport goods across countries today, camels were used to transport goods across deserts where other modes of transportation were not feasible.
